New Iowa Law-January 1st, 2011How Does Iowa Law and the New Carrying Weapons Law Affect Law Abiding Citizens?
The new law takes effect January 1st, 2011 instead of a one year renewal permit the new law allows for a five year expiration period. Taking this course can save you time and money. You must renew your permit at least 30 days prior to your current expiration date and or you'll need to take the full class again. For more details and specific information about renewals, application, fees, and required courses visit the Iowa Department of Public Safety website.
